Johnny Jimbo the queen of flamingos

Meet my next Whimsical Wonky Woman. I’m calling her Johnny Jimbo the Queen of Flamingo. And, yes, there’s a story there. You see, I have a friend who is conflicted about her name. Sometimes she is Jeanne or Jeannie, sometimes she is Jim, her family calls her Johnny, and sometimes it’s Jimbo. I think it must be difficult. 😁 And, to top it off, she’s blonde and she loves flamingoes. She has loved flamingoes for years and even had a couple flamingo birthday parties. I can never see a flamingo and not think of her. Years ago, she was the first one I ever heard use the expression CRS and it’s now something I understand all too well. She loves green olives in her beer and she is the only person I’ve ever known who gives new meaning to toots. 😆 She is a sweet and generous soul who shares without reservation or hesitation and who is often the quiet one in the corner during our loud, raucous discussions. But, when she has something to say, we all listen. She reads books (a lot) and over the years I and others have benefited from her book recommendations. She has a ready smile and I’ve never seen her be unkind to anyone. Not too many folks you can say that about these days. I’m blessed and humbled and so happy to call her my friend. Here’s to you Johnny Jimbo the Queen of Flamingo with thanks for who you are and what you mean to so many of us.

Cheers! 🍻
